FIRE STOP Mortar
For Large and Outdoor Openings
1.Scope
Generally in industries, Fire Stop Materials are used to control and retard the transmission of fire.
Different ways are available for sealing the Openings and coating the Cables. This installation procedure covers most of these ways, therefore, for having better installation use up-to-date methods to fit specific field and service condition.
2.Usage Of Products
-Openings (Large sizes) even with cable tray and ladder and pipe. For resistance of fire up to 3 hours.
3.Equipment
- Trowel
- Mold, casting
- Cutter
- Pail
4.Product Preparation
All items must be kept in closed containers and stored temperatures between +5˚C to +45˚C.Shelf life for material is 15 months if kept tightly sealed.
5.Installation Instructions
- Cleaning and dusting the coating's limitation of dust, oil and etc.
- Wet surface of opening that must be filled with mortar.
- Mix Fire Stop mortar with water according of technical data.
- Fill opening with mortar. (usemold in place if required.)
- Reinstall mortar in remaining place.
6.Curing Time
For recoating:
@ +10˚C approx8 hours @ +20˚C approx7 hours @ +30˚C approx6 hours
7.Safety
Fire Stop is based on water, so it doesn't have any skin's hurt and effect on environment.
